On December 25, 2025, at 7:22 p.m., the Botsford Fire Rescue was asked to assist the Town of Monroe by sending one engine and personnel into the Stepney Fire Department's first-due area owing to a reported working structure fire. Crews from Botsford were tasked with supporting interior fire operations as part of the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) upon arrival. Firefighters in Monroe swiftly put out the fire and managed the situation. Botsford units were released by Monroe command and sent back into duty when overhaul activities were finished.
