Readsboro Engine Assists Wilmington on Christmas Night Call

Dec. 25, 2025 — The Readsboro Fire Department responded to a mutual aid request on Christmas night when 92-T1 was dispatched at 7:30 p.m. to Wilmington for a reported possible structure fire.
Upon arrival and further investigation, the incident was determined to be a burn pile, and no structural fire was found. Readsboro units were able to clear without incident after the situation was confirmed to be non-threatening.
The department thanked Wilmington responders for the coordination and reminded residents to use caution with outdoor burning, especially during evening hours and winter conditions.
