Dec. 18, 2025 — The Readsboro Fire Department was dispatched for mutual aid coverage late Wednesday morning after the Town of Rowe requested station coverage.
At approximately 11:44 a.m., Engine 92-E2 was assigned to respond to Rowe to provide standby coverage while Rowe units were committed to another incident. While en route, Readsboro firefighters were notified that their assistance was no longer needed and the unit was canceled before arrival.
Although the response was brief, the call reflects the strong regional mutual aid system in place, ensuring communities remain protected when neighboring departments are handling active emergencies.
