Dec. 5, 2025 — The Readsboro Volunteer Fire Department officially welcomed its newest apparatus, Engine 92-E3, marking a significant investment in public safety for the town and surrounding communities. The new engine arrived home this week and will undergo several weeks of preparation before being placed into active service.
Department members will be outfitting the truck with equipment, completing pump operations training, and conducting driver training to ensure crews are fully prepared to operate the engine safely and effectively. Once these steps are complete, 92-E3 will officially join the front line, enhancing the department’s firefighting and emergency response capabilities.
The department expressed appreciation to Toyne for delivering the custom-built engine and for the collaboration throughout the design and build process to meet departmental specifications. Thanks were also extended to the residents of the Town of Readsboro for their continued support in funding and backing this important purchase.
The arrival of 92-E3 represents another step forward in ensuring the Readsboro Fire Department remains ready to serve its community with modern, reliable equipment.
