ARKPORT, NY — Jan. 8: The Hornell Area Chiefs meeting, which brought together fire department chiefs from throughout the area, was held Thursday night at Arkport Hose Co. #1 Inc. The conference, which alternates between local agencies, offers a chance to exchange updates, talk about operations, and plan regional initiatives.

The introduction of a new call reporting system was the main subject of discussion. Every incident will be recorded into a computer-based system under the revised procedure, along with thorough documentation detailing the steps taken and the results. The system is designed to enhance operational review, reporting accuracy, and recordkeeping. Steuben County Emergency Services, Canisteo Fire Company, Greenwood Fire Department, and Howard Fire Department were among the organisations represented at the meeting.
