At 4:44 a.m. on December 14, Arkport Hose Co. #1 Inc. was sent to assist the Canaseraga Fire Company with mutual aid. They first stood by in quarters during an early-morning incident. Arkport units with one engine and one tanker were dispatched to the location as the crisis worsened. According to early indications, there may have been entrapment there.

One casualty and a dog were taken out of the house during operations. At the scene, emergency medical attention was given. Tanker 9, Engine 43, and Medic 2 were among the Arkport units that responded. Before being released and going back to work, crews worked with Canaseraga firefighters and other response authorities.
