Netcong, New Jersey — January 7 — Earlier in the evening, Department Netcong Fire Company No. 1, situated at 40 Maple Ave., responded to a Rapid Intervention Crew assignment in Roxbury Township as part of a mutual aid assignment.

In accordance with established Morris County mutual aid protocols, Chief 1 and Engine 1 were sent to support firefighter safety. During active incidents, RIC teams are tasked with standing by and ready to support operating crews in the event that circumstances alter. While making sure coverage remained available within their home area, Netcong officials reacted with trained members and the necessary equipment. These responses, according to department officials, show continued collaboration across nearby authorities. Assignments of mutual aid like this continue to play a significant role in coordinated emergency efforts throughout the area.
