Sprinkler System Contains Bathroom Fire in Pleasantville

Pleasantville, NJ — December 13 — On December 13, the Pleasantville Fire Department responded to a reported building fire at 20 W. Milan. When responders arrived, they discovered a fire in one of the building's restrooms. The fire was effectively contained until firefighters arrived, thanks to the activation of a fire suppression system. After completing extinguishment procedures, firefighters verified that no injuries had been recorded. Parts of the structure were damaged by fire and water, despite the fire being confined to its original location. As a precaution, a number of families were moved within the institution. Without any more delay, the issue was brought under control. The Fire Prevention Bureau is looking into the cause of the fire.
