Mountain Lakes, New Jersey — December 15 — On December 15, the Mtn. Lakes Vol Fire Department-NJ, which is situated at 400 Boulevard, was called to a reported home structure fire on Lakewood Drive in Mountain Lakes.

When firefighters arrived, they discovered that the fire was limited to one room in the house. To prevent further spread, crews developed handlines, established command, and carried out inside operations. In about forty minutes, the fire was put out and brought under control. Firefighters finished ventilation and overhaul after knockdown to make sure the building was safe and to look for any hidden fire extensions. There were no reports of tenant or fireman injuries during the incident. The relevant authorities are still looking into the fire. No more details have been made public.
