Just before 2 am Jan 1, Paramus fire companies responded to a structure fire at 33 Spring Valley rd. The fire that started on the back porch of the home was heavily involved and starting to extend to all floors of the home. 

Flames vented through the roof of the home at the height of the blaze. Outside lines were put into operation to knock down the heavy fire.

Mutual aid responders included firefighters at the scene and in coverage from Maywood, Rochelle Park, Oradell, Saddle Brook assisted on the scene while companies from Elmwood Park, Fair Lawn, River Edge, Garfield and Washington Township covered the town.
