With new leadership in place at the beginning of the year, the Somerville Fire Department named its 2026 Command and Administration Officers. Chief Kenneth Bowden, Deputy Chief Albert Bowden, Captains Glenn Sheats and Brent Hurevitch, and Lieutenants Kip Zenowich, Xavier Alvarado, Ashley Bowden, and John Lajda are the officers for 2026. President Brian Iselin, Vice President Gary Stramaglia, Secretary Robert Lynn, and Treasurer Bruce Kessler are the year's administrative officials.

Additionally, the department expressed its profound gratitude to Assistant Chief Brian Ceponis, Deputy Chief Jose Rodriguez, and departing Chief Joseph Stitley for their enthusiasm, devotion, and hard work. The department advanced and was set up for long-term success thanks to its leadership. The Somerville Fire Department wishes everyone a safe, healthy, and joyous New Year and appreciates all of the supporters from 2025.
