Electric Boat Fire Department is proud to announce the department-wide upgrade to new “fluorine free” personal protective ensemble ahead of the new mandate of January 1, 2028. With that upgrade Electric Boat has also upgraded all new 3M Scott 5500 wire frame SCBA’s to provide a greater level of safety for all firefighters.
