Cundy's Harbor, ME - Members of the Cundy's Harbor Volunteer Fire Department dedicated their Wednesday evening to frontline operational readiness, convening at headquarters to conduct hands-on vehicle extrication and rescue training.

The tactical training session was held on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, bringing together department personnel to review modern vehicle anatomy, stabilization methods, and hydraulic rescue tool deployment.

Firefighters walked through realistic scenarios designed to simulate high-impact highway collisions, focusing on systematically removing vehicle doors, displacing roofs, and performing dash rolls to safely free trapped occupants while maintaining spinal precautions.

Hands-on evolutions of this caliber allow both seasoned volunteers and newer personnel to remain proficient with specialized cutting and spreading tools, ensuring seamless coordination and rapid rescue capabilities when responding to serious motor vehicle incidents across the coastal community.
