Little Falls, N.Y. — October 3, 2026 — The Little Falls Cheese Festival had dedicated fire and EMS standby coverage from members of the City of Little Little Falls Falls Firefighter Union Firefighter Union Local 2966. Additional personnel were assigned to handle the higher demand for emergency services.
The union stated that additional staff were added to the crew on duty to ensure enough coverage for the event, while still allowing the department to handle emergencies in other parts of the city.
The festival assembled cheesemakers, food vendors and visitors on Main Street for a day of food, entertainment and community activities. The event promoted over 120 cheese types, featured local goods, and included live musical performances. The event was scheduled to commence at 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on October 3.
