Catskill, N.Y. — October 9, 2026 — Representatives from the Catskill Fire Company went to Mama Bear Daycare to teach children about fire safety, show firefighting gear, and help young students get to know local emergency responders.
Rogers and Della Monica talked to the children about fire safety and displayed firefighting equipment. The visit allowed a chance to teach basic fire safety concepts, letting children ask questions and interact with responders.
Officer Kate from the Catskill Police Department also accompanied the visit with her dog, letting the children meet another local emergency services worker. Kate also serves with the fire department, contributing law enforcement background to the visit.
