Athens, N.Y. — October 21, 2026 — Firefighters from the Athens Volunteer Fire Department and West Athens-Lime Street Fire Company practiced pump operations and water supply in a joint drill.
The session allowed members to practice pumping operations, hard suction deployment, drafting, and using a folding water tank. The exercise gave new members practical experience using the tools and methods needed to set up water supply at emergency locations.
