North Sewickley Township, PA. — September 19 — Members of the North Sewickley Volunteer Fire Department visited Butler County Community College to take part in a structure burn training session aimed at improving their firefighting abilities, communication and teamwork.
During the training, firefighters engaged in hands-on live-fire exercises at BC3’s Public Safety Training Center. The facility features a burn building and other resources used for first responder training.BC3 stated that the center trains thousands of first responders every year and offers realistic settings for firefighters to practice fire response techniques.
The training allowed members to collaborate in challenging situations that required coordination and effective communication, while also reinforcing essential firefighting procedures.
BC3’s burn building was specifically designed to simulate real fire conditions for firefighters training in structure fire operations.
Following the training session, department members and their families came together for a picnic organized by the department.
This event offered firefighters and their families a chance to bond and relax outside of the training environment.
The department also acknowledged Chief Mike Mamone III and his crew for their assistance with the burn exercises, as well as other members who consistently dedicate their time to training and emergency services.
North Sewickley Township was designated by Beaver County as Station 13, with its main station located at 887 Mercer Road in Beaver Falls.
