Youngwood Crews Responded to Structure Fire

Youngwood, PA. — September 9 — Youngwood Volunteer Fire Department personnel responded to a structure fire that resulted in considerable damage to a building in the Youngwood area.Firefighters were present at the scene as smoke continued to rise from the affected structure.


They worked around the building while managing the remaining fire and addressing potential hazards.The response was managed by the Youngwood Volunteer Fire Department, based at 104 S.2nd St.in Youngwood.Westmoreland County identifies the Youngwood Volunteer Fire Department as Fire Department No.26.


The department has also been involved in various emergency situations within the borough, including fires and other incidents requiring fire department assistance.


Youngwood borough records recognize the volunteer fire department as the designated fire company for the community.Crews stayed focused on fire suppression, cleanup, and ensuring the scene was safe before finishing their tasks.
