Brewer, ME — September 1, 2026 — Brewer American Legion Post 98 provided firefighters and other local emergency responders with a meal and a gesture of community appreciation.
The Brewer Fire Department expressed gratitude to the Legion for supplying lunch to its firefighters and emergency-service agencies from nearby communities. The department stated that the support and appreciation from the Legion are highly regarded by local responders.
The meal was part of an ongoing initiative by Daniel E. Geagan, American Legion Post 98, to support first responders in the broader Brewer region. The Maine American Legion previously recorded that Post 98 annually hosted a barbecue for first responders at the Brewer Public Safety building, offering meals to firefighters, law enforcement officers, paramedics, and medical staff from Brewer, Eddington, Orrington, Clifton, and Holden.
