On Sept. 2nd at 3:10 pm the Vera Cruz fire company was dispatched for a working truck fire on the Pennsylvania Turnpike at the 54.0 mile marker in Lower Macungie Township. Engine-Tanker 28 arrived on the scene to find the back of the tanker on fire that was reportedly carring latex , The fire was Mainly contained to the rear wheels. Additional tankers and engines were dispatched to the scene.
