Barnegat Light Auxiliary Donates Record $53,000 to Volunteer Fire Company

Barnegat Light, N.J. — August 27 — A record-setting community fundraiser has given volunteer firefighters on Long Beach Island a significant lift, with the Barnegat Light Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary handing the fire company a $53,000 donation.

The check was handed over on August 27, 2026, during a meeting of Auxiliary officers and Fire Company members, which came after the Auxiliary's Annual Auction on August 1. The Auxiliary said this year's auction was the most successful in the event's history, bringing in $53,000 through donations and community support.

Auxiliary members expressed gratitude to the numerous volunteers, donors and Fire Company members whose efforts contributed to the auction's success. Auction Chair Mary Schwartz received special recognition for her leadership and tireless efforts in organizing the annual event.
