During their annual trip to Barnegat Light, young members of the Long Beach Township Junior Police Academy devoted part of the day to learning about emergency services.
The children, who range in age from 10 to 13, toured the Barnegat Light Volunteer Fire Co. as part of a hands-on community-service program. Local volunteer firefighters hosted the visit, giving the participants a chance to learn more about the work that emergency-service personnel do.
