Morris, Sussex County Firefighters Conduct Tanker Drill

Jefferson Township, N.J. — August 23 — Firefighters from different departments in Morris and Sussex counties came together on Sunday for a joint training exercise involving multiple agencies.The main focus of the drill was on water supply operations and how departments can work together effectively.

Firefighters from Jefferson Township Fire Company No. 2 joined forces with their counterparts from Jefferson Township Fire Company No.1 and other nearby departments to take part in the training. The exercise involved firefighters from both counties practicing how to transport and supply large volumes of water during emergencies where a regular hydrant system might not be available.

The training included activities related to tanker operations, moving water, and coordination among the participating units.

These drills help firefighters get hands-on experience in setting up a reliable water supply before they need to use these skills during an actual fire incident. The training was reported by Jefferson Township Fire Company No. 2 in an August 23 social-media post, which thanked the participating agencies for their work.
