Bulldog Makes Surprise Appearance at Budd Lake Fire Call

Budd Lake, N.J. — August 23 — When the homeowner's bulldog chose to investigate the firemen and seemingly join the team, it was an unexpected guest on a normal fire department call in Budd Lake.

The dog stayed close to the firefighters, posed for pictures, and seemed interested in what was going on. Firefighters joked that the visiting dog might have thought the reaction was a shift change because the department already has a bulldog as its mascot.

The Budd Lake Volunteer Fire Department reported the amusing meeting, characterizing the bulldog as an unofficial recruit who oversaw the situation and appeared prepared for a trip back to the firehouse.
