Hillsborough Station 37 Recognized Workers on Labor Day

Hillsborough, N.J. — September 7 — Hillsborough Township Station 37 Fire celebrated Labor Day by honoring firefighters, emergency responders, and other workers who contribute to keeping the community safe and prepared.
Located at 375 Route 206, Hillsborough Township Fire Company #2 functions as an all-volunteer fire department and is known as Station 37.
The company reported responding to approximately 700 to 800 calls annually, which include structure fires, motor vehicle accidents, water and ice rescues, searches for missing persons, and incidents involving hazardous materials.The department is always available, operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Station 37 was part of the Hillsborough Fire District and collaborated with Flagtown Fire Company, Woods Road Fire Company, and Neshanic Fire Company during major incidents.
It also coordinated with nearby departments when extra resources were required.
The station had space for seven pieces of equipment, a gear room, officer offices, a meeting room, and outdoor training areas that included a roof and ventilation simulator.
Since 1947, the department has provided fire suppression, rescue, and extrication services within the township and surrounding areas.
Labor Day provided an opportunity for emergency service workers to acknowledge the efforts of those who are always on standby to respond to calls.
