Firefighter Graduates Earned Recognition at Station 31

FRANKLIN PARK, NJ — SEPTEMBER 1 — Franklin Park Volunteer Fire Company – Station 31 acknowledged the graduation of one Firefighter 1 and four Firefighter 2 candidates who were not able to attend the ceremony. These graduates had successfully completed over 260 hours of fire service training.

The training program included attendance, practical experience, classroom instruction, and a dedication to mastering skills necessary for emergency response.

According to New Jersey’s Division of Fire Safety, firefighters aiming for state certification must finish approved training programs and pass state exams. Additionally, Firefighter 2 candidates are required to already have Firefighter 1 and hazardous materials certifications.

For the members of Station 31, the graduates’ achievement highlighted the ongoing value of education and preparation in the fire service.

Their training helped build a stronger base for safe operations, effective teamwork, and continued support for the Franklin Park community.

The department extended its congratulations to all five graduates and acknowledged their ongoing commitment to the fire service.
