Far Hills-Bedminster Remembered 9/11 on Its 25th Anniversary

BEDMINSTER, NJ — September 11 — The Far Hills-Bedminster Fire Department observed the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, by honoring the lives lost and the emergency workers who responded that day.
The attacks resulted in the deaths of 2,977 individuals, with 2,753 of them in New York City.
Among those who perished were 343 firefighters from the FDNY, 23 NYPD officers, and 37 Port Authority Police officers. The 9/11 Memorial and Museum documented 411 emergency workers who were killed in New York.
For those in the emergency services, the anniversary served as a reminder of the challenges and commitments faced by firefighters, EMS personnel, and law enforcement during critical incidents.
Thousands of responders went to the World Trade Center to help with rescue and evacuation efforts.
The Far Hills-Bedminster Fire Department, a volunteer department that has served the community since 1901, continues to offer fire protection, rescue, and other emergency services.
Its members honored those who gave their lives on 9/11 and acknowledged the lasting effects of that day on the emergency services community.
