Country Hills Honored the 25th Anniversary of 9/11

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — September 11 — Twenty-five years following the events of September 11, 2001, the Country Hills Volunteer Fire Company honored the firefighters, police officers, emergency medical services personnel, and civilians who were lost during the attacks. The attacks resulted in the deaths of 2,977 individuals, with 2,753 of them located in New York City. Among the victims were 343 firefighters and paramedics from New York City, along with 23 NYPD officers and 37 Port Authority Police officers. The 9/11 Memorial and Museum documented 411 emergency workers who were killed in New York during the attacks.

For those in the fire and emergency services, the anniversary remains a powerful reminder of the dedication and commitment that responders show every day.

Country Hills Volunteer Fire Company, Station 24, has continued to serve the communities of Bridgewater and Branchburg, relying on trained volunteer firefighters who are always ready to respond to emergencies around the clock.

The department observed September 11 by paying tribute to those who gave their service, those who were lost, and the families and communities impacted by the events of that day.

The legacy of their service continues to hold a special place within the emergency services community.
