Bristol Firefighter Daniel Paul Completed Basic Fire Training

BRISTOL, ME — September 10 — Bristol, Maine Fire and Rescue highlighted firefighter Daniel Paul in its member spotlight.Paul, known as Bristol 42, started working with the department in December 2025 and completed his basic firefighter training earlier in 2026.
This milestone was a significant part of his journey as he worked to develop the necessary skills for emergency response.
The department has always depended on its members to offer fire and rescue services to the community, and training has always played a key role in department operations.According to the department's 2020 annual report, members spent over 3,200 hours on service and training, including 528 hours dedicated to training.
In addition to his work with the fire department, Paul was employed in the local area and was getting ready to become a father.
His joining the team showed the ongoing need for volunteers who are willing to train, respond to calls, and support the department.
Bristol Fire and Rescue has continued to rely on local community members to ensure staffing levels and emergency preparedness are maintained.
