Mastering the Cut: Harrington Park Crews Test Modern Battery Saws in Rainy Evening Evolution

Harrington Park, NJ — Firefighters refused to let foul weather disrupt their tactical readiness, taking advantage of an evening downpour to test cutting-edge power equipment and sharpen vertical ventilation skills.

On August 20, members of the Harrington Park Volunteer Fire Department gathered in Bergen County for a hands-on technical training evolution. Working through active rain, crews evaluated a series of new power saws provided for demonstration by Milwaukee Tool and Roberts Tool & Supply Co.

Firefighters operated on a specialized portable roof prop engineered with ModTruss components by Kadan Productions. The evolution allowed members to practice aggressive inspection cuts, louver cuts, and roof ventilation techniques under wet, slippery conditions that closely mirror real-world fireground challenges.

The department extended its appreciation to Roberts Tool & Supply Co for facilitating the equipment demonstration and to Kadan Productions for providing the heavy-duty training prop to keep local firefighters sharp and mission-ready.
