Remembering 25 Years Later

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

In remembrance of the events of September 11, 2001, the Chester Volunteer Fire Department joins fire and emergency response organizations throughout.

Even after 25 years, the day is still significant in the history of the fire department. Responding to the attacks in New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia claimed the lives of firefighters, police officers, emergency medical personnel, and citizens.

For firemen, September 11 serves as a reminder of the dedication of emergency responders and firefighters who respond to calls to assist people in any situation.

Today, the Chester Volunteer Fire Department requests that the community take a time to celebrate those who responded, remember those who lost their lives, and honor the families and departments that are now carrying on their memory.
