Lucas Van Vught Continued Serving Warren

Warren, VT — September 1 — The Warren Volunteer Fire Department highlighted Assistant Fire Chief Lucas Van Vught, who has been serving with the department for 11 years.
Van Vught's role involved both operational duties and responsibilities related to vehicles and stations.
He was responsible for overseeing the maintenance and care of the department's trucks and stations, and he collaborated with the truck committee on future equipment plans.His focus was on ensuring that all equipment was prepared and ready for emergency situations.
Van Vught mentioned that the rewarding aspects of his job included helping people, supporting the growth of firefighters, educating the public, and giving back to the community.
When he first joined the department, his main goal was to drive the large red trucks.
Outside of his work at the firehouse, Van Vught spends time with his two sons, enjoying activities like skiing and trips to the river.
The department's current officer list identifies him as an assistant chief.In 2025, Warren firefighters responded to 112 emergency calls.
