Members Completed Emergency Planning Session

Warren, VT — August 12 — Warren Volunteer Fire Department personnel conducted a training session on Tuesday evening, concentrating on emergency planning and response procedures for properties in the area.Due to inclement weather, the session was moved indoors, where firefighters used the classroom environment to examine potential incidents and explore response strategies.
The session covered how crews can handle emergencies at various types of properties and how to use available resources efficiently.
Members evaluated response priorities, access routes, communication methods, and coordination during incidents that might be impacted by challenging conditions or locations.
This training aligned with the department's continued emphasis on preparedness.
The Warren Volunteer Fire Department has completed over 1,300 hours of training in 2025, while members have contributed more than 4,100 hours across emergency responses, training sessions, meetings, and administrative tasks.The department also collaborates with nearby fire departments through mutual-aid agreements.
Classroom activities allowed members to review and discuss plans prior to encountering similar situations during real emergencies.
