September 5, 2026 — Peru, Maine: To generate funds for a new automated generator for the department's central station, the Peru Maine Fire Department organized a toll bridge fundraiser on Saturday.
Over the course of the holiday weekend, firefighters solicited donations from the local community and anyone using the toll bridge.
The department expressed gratitude to everyone who supported the idea and contributed to the fundraising.
Additionally, Peru Fire expressed gratitude to its members who contributed their time during the holiday weekend to enable the event.
