Technical Rescue Team Responds to Southbridge Fall

August 11, 2026 — The District 7 Technical Rescue Team was called to 12 Crane St. in Southbridge on Aug. 11 after a person fell about 50 feet down an embankment.
The District 7 Technical Rescue Team was reaching out and rescuing the victim, according to information from the Auburn Fire-Rescue Department (@auburnmassfire). The first update came from the District 7 Public Information Officer.
The steep slope necessitated specialized technical rescue operations. Crews worked to safely access the victim and bring the person back up the embankment.
Later reports further indicated that the victim was rescued and taken to hospital to be checked out.
