WATERFORD, VT — August 10 — Members of the Waterford Volunteer Fire Department carried out their annual fire hose and ground ladder testing on August 10 at a local farm.The testing was performed by Industrial Inspection and Analysis as part of the department’s routine equipment inspection program.

Firefighters examined and tested the department’s fire hoses and ground ladders to ensure the equipment was still fit for use during emergencies.

The department stated that all the hoses and ladders passed the tests.

Industrial Inspection and Analysis offers fire-service inspection and testing services, including testing of fire hoses and ground ladders.

Their services also cover testing of hoses, nozzles, appliances, pumps, and other related equipment.

Annual inspection and service testing are essential for maintaining fire-service equipment in a ready state for use.

NFPA guidelines recommend regular inspection and service testing for fire hoses, and in-service ground ladders are also required to undergo service testing.

The Waterford Volunteer Fire Department is based at 2661 Duck Pond Road. The department used property provided by Gingue Family Farm for the testing. The farm is located at 1800 Higgins Hill Road in Waterford.
