Waterville Fire-Rescue Freed Puppy From Tight Spot on Two Cent Bridge

Firefighters came to the aid of a puppy that became stuck while walking with its owner on the Two Cent Bridge in Waterville, Maine, on September 2.

Waterville Fire-Rescue C-Shift personnel responded after the dog got its head caught in a narrow section of the pedestrian bridge and was unable to free itself.

Crews carefully worked to release the puppy without injury. Once freed, the dog was reunited with its owner and able to continue its outing.

The historic Two Cent Bridge spans the Kennebec River between Waterville and Winslow.
