Salisbury Firefighter Kayla Completed EMT Training

SALISBURY, VT — AUGUST 7 — Salisbury Firefighter Kayla recently completed a month-long Emergency Medical Technician course in New Hampshire and obtained her EMT certification.This achievement added another qualified medical professional to the Salisbury Fire Department and enhanced Kayla’s capacity to contribute during emergency situations.


EMT training equips responders with the skills to evaluate patients, deliver essential emergency care, and help with patient transportation.

In Vermont, the EMS education process also involves formal testing and meeting competency standards necessary for obtaining state licensure.


This new certification aligns with the department’s commitment to maintaining a team of skilled firefighters and medical responders.

Salisbury Fire Department records indicate a consistent focus on ongoing education, with its members spending thousands of hours annually on training in areas such as EMT, paramedic, hazardous materials, and rescue operations.
