WHITESVILLE, NY — August 26 — The Whitesville Volunteer Fire Department highlighted firefighter Tyler Lewis in its recent member spotlight, acknowledging his nine years of service with the department and nine years in the fire service overall.

Lewis explained that his choice to join the fire service was inspired by his father and grandfather.

He described the community as the aspect he cherished most about serving with Whitesville and encouraged anyone thinking about joining to "Don’t hesitate."

Outside of firefighting, Lewis works as a traveling heavy equipment operator and enjoys mechanic work as a hobby.

He also mentioned cheeseburgers as his favorite food and blue as his favorite color.
