Weston, MA - Weston Fire Department Group 3 conducted focused technical rescue training utilizing a dedicated training structure to strengthen firefighter rescue capabilities and teamwork under realistic conditions.

On August 12, 2026, members worked through multiple simulated rescue scenarios designed to replicate challenging structural environments. Crews practiced a firefighter-through-the-floor evolution, reinforcing coordination, victim access, and stabilization techniques in compromised structural conditions.

Personnel also completed a 2-to-1 hoisting operation, removing a simulated patient through a window that had been converted into a door opening. The evolution required precise rope handling, strong comunication, and controlled movement to ensure safe and efficient patient packaging and removal.

Throughout the drill, emphasis was placed on scene coordination, acountability, and smooth execution of techncal rescue procedures. The training provided valuable repetition in complex scenarios, helping crews build confidence and improve efficiency when operating in high-risk rescue environments.
