Pownal, VT - Pownal Fire Department members conducted joint water supply training with Petersburg Fire Department (NY) on 24 August, focusing on rural firefighting operations and effective water movement in areas without hydrant access.

Crews operated a Turbo Draft system along with a porta-tank setup, practicing drafting techniques and water shuttle coordination to maintain a continuous supply during firefighting operations. The exercise emphasized efficiency, coordination, and maintaining strong flow under realistic conditions.

The joint training helped improve interoperability between the two departments and strengthened mutual aid readiness for incidents requiring sustained water supply operations.
