Readsboro Fire Department (92-E2 and 92-U1) participated in a joint water supply training exercise in Monroe Bridge alongside mutual aid partners, focusing on improving drafting operations and rural firefighting readiness.

During the drill, 92-E2 established a draft from a dry hydrant located at a canal in the village while coordinated engine operations supported sustained water movement. On 18 August, Crews worked through full water supply setup procedures, reinforcing efficient relay techniques and equipment handling in a rural environment where hydrant access is limited.

The training emphasized maintaining reliable water flow in areas dependent on static water sources, a critical skill for incidents in remote or underdeveloped locations. Members also refined coordination between apparatus to ensure seamless water transfer and operational safety during sustained pumping operations.

The exercise strengthened inter-agency cooperation between Readsboro Fire Department and Monroe Bridge personnel, improving readiness for future mutual aid responses involving large-scale or extended operations.
