August 8, 2026 — During the 26th Annual National Brockway Truck Show on Saturday, members of the Cortlandville Fire Department were present at the Central New York Living History Center to offer fire-service assistance.

The Village of Homer and the CNY Living History Center serve as the focal points of the Brockway Truck Show, which brings vintage and historic Brockway trucks to the Cortland County region. The event took place in 2026 from August 6 to August 9.

Firefighters from Cortlandville attended the event's evening fireworks. Having firefighters on hand at a sizable public event enables teams to react swiftly in the event of a fire, medical emergency, or other disaster.

The Brockway Truck Museum and other artifacts are housed at the CNY Living History Center, which is situated at 4386 U.S. Route 11.
