DEPOSIT, NY — August 24, 2026 — On Monday nite, Deposit Fire Department personnel reviewed a variety of equipment and water-supply procedures at the department's training center.

Relay pumping, drafting, deck-gun operations, hose-line advances, and apparatus placement and setup were all addressed in the practice.

Firefighters were able to practice setting up an efficient water supply and situating equipment for fireground operations thanks to the practical training. Additionally, members worked with their equipment in a controlled training setting while practicing advancing hose lines and using the deck cannon.
