Intersectional Crash Snarls East Lake Road as Emergency Crews Manage Hazards

Owasco, NY - Emergency personnel from the Owasco Fire Department mobilized Tuesday evening following a two-vehicle collision that left motorists injured at a prominent local intersection.

On the evening of October 13, 2026, Owasco Rescue was dispatched to a reported two-car motor vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of East Lake Road and White Bridge Road.

Owasco Rescue 1, Rescue 2, and Squad 1 responded to the scene to stabilize the damaged vehicles, disconnect batteries to eliminate electrical fire risks, and manage active fluid leaks.

Fire personnel also established comprehensive traffic control around the intersection, diverting traffic to keep the corridor safe for operating first responders.

Medical evaluation and patient care were coordinated by responding paramedics from Auburn Ambulance and the Fleming Fire Department Ambulance squad.

Crews remained on location to clear vehicle debris and secure the roadway before turning the scene over to local law enforcement and commercial towing services.
