QUEENSBURY, NY — August 16, 2026 — This past weekend, South Queensbury Volunteer Fire Department members invited locals and guests to their annual Fire Company Craft Show & Family Fest, which combines a community gathering with public education and fire safety.

Members of the West Glens Falls Fire Company were invited by South Queensbury to participate in the event and give a presentation about their fire safety and prevention program.

Children had the chance to learn fundamental fire safety procedures through the program, such as the value of having a house fire escape plan, what to do in the event of a smoke alarm, and how to handle smoke or fire situations within a home.
