PERRY, NY — July 30 — Members of the Perry Fire Department spent the afternoon collaborating with the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office Explorers during a practical vehicle extrication training session.

The Perry Fire Department, located at 46 N.

Main St., P.O.Box 243, Perry, NY 14530, was the first emergency responder for the training.Public records confirm that the department is a volunteer organization serving the community of Perry, and the station address is the same as listed.

Firefighters began by showcasing the department’s extrication tools and explaining the methods used when rescuers need to extract people from damaged vehicles.

The Explorers then had the chance to use the equipment under the guidance of firefighters and perform part of an extrication scenario.

The vehicle used for the exercise was donated by Eddie's Collision, as noted by the department.
