Flames Tear Through Marsh Road Barn, Triggering Mutual Aid Call to LeRoy

Le Roy, NY - Volunteer firefighters from the LeRoy Fire Department mobilized Thursday to provide vital mutual aid support as emergency crews battled a working barn fire along Marsh Road in the Town of Bethany, Genesee County.

On October 1, 2026, the Bethany Fire Department requested assistance to combat an active agricultural structure fire. LeRoy responded to the call with Rescue 66.

Upon arrival at the Marsh Road scene, LeRoy personnel integrated into tactical fireground operations, deploying attack lines to aid in fire suppression, conducting overhaul to eliminate hidden fire spread, and providing critical logistical and scene support alongside neighboring departments until the fire was brought under control.
