This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Fanwood, N.J. — July 28 — A mask confidence school on fireground mobility, tactics, and operational abilities was held by the Fanwood Fire Department. Members performed a series of timed physical tasks while donning full PPE and SCBA. Stair climbing, weighted pike pulls, hose pulls, dummy drags, ladder raises, equipment agility walks, and striking stations were all part of the course. Firefighters were able to practice moving and operating while donning breathing apparatus and protective gear thanks to the exercises.

Additionally, training enhanced members' efficiency during fireground operations and helped them stay familiar with SCBA. There were no departments known to be involved in mutual aid. In order to maintain its personnel ready for emergency response, the Fanwood Fire Department, which was based at 75 North Martine Ave. in Fanwood, conducted frequent practical training.
