Battalion Chief John Lefler Retired After 56 Years

Alpha, N.J. — August 8 — After 56 years of service, Phillipsburg Fire Department Battalion Chief John Lefler retired and was honored by the Alpha Volunteer Fire Company. Lefler was honored for his extensive commitment with the Warren County Fire Academy and his leadership on emergency situations. He was able to assist and train firefighters from all around the county because to his job at the academy.


Emergency service professionals received training in fire, rescue, and hazardous materials response from the Warren County Fire Academy. The local community was served by Alpha Volunteer Fire Company Station 82, which was located at 1109 Lee Avenue in Alpha. The retirement recognition did not include any mutual-aid departments. As Lefler started his retirement, the firm wished him well and complimented him on his lengthy career.
